Dim sum in Malaysia

Dim sum originated from China but it is also a famous Chinese delicacy here in Malaysia. Dim sum is a Cantonese phrase which literally means "touch the heart". Dim sum are mostly famous in states such as Ipoh and Kuala Lumpur. However, Melaka dim sum is also very delicious and the plus point is that the price per plate is cheaper by half or more if compared to dim sum in Kuala Lumpur.

Dim sum are small dumplings filled with meat, fish, prawns or vegetable that are fried or steamed. There are various shape, design and ingredient used to cook dim sum. All is up to the creativity and culinary skill of the chef.


One of the nicer dim sum you can find in Melaka is situated in Bachang. The shop business seems to be blooming as the you can see the number of shop lot it is occupying increases. Also, the dim sum restaurant have added air conditioner in the shop recently.
